Overview
If you are staying in Hurghada and want to see Luxor without an overnight stay, this is the most direct way to do it. You leave before dawn, drive about four hours across the Eastern Desert and reach Luxor mid-morning.
On the east bank you visit Karnak and stop outside Luxor Temple. You then cross to the west bank for the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut's temple at Deir el-Bahari. Lunch is included.
It is a long day, with around eight hours on the road in total. For a slower pace, you can add a night in Luxor or a Nile cruise.
